Under torque, the bolt both stretches longitudinally and flexes down horizontally (you can feel it). The bigger head spreads the load. Together clamp loads and maximum torque go up 20%, making the joint stronger and more resilient. Raptor™ is engineered stronger than nearly any other fastener made.
Raptor™ claws are not normal serrations. They were engineered specifically to be placed only on the outside edge with a radius that would bite. This allows the screw head to flex downward and bite in at the same time, which is proven by the higher torque values reached. This extra engineering separates Raptor™ from every other high tech fastener made.
