Bryce Fastener, Inc. specializes in helping customers in such industries as electronics, construction, corrections and telecommunications solve a wide range of unique and demanding fastener applications.

We are a dedicated designer and manufacturer of security screws. Founded in 1972, we have been selling security fasteners for over 25 years. About 10 years ago, we began designing high security fasteners and started manufacturing our own products 3 years ago.

Manufacturing was a requirement in developing the Keyed-Lok® and Key-Rex™ high security screws because available research and development was limited. As it turned out, we had to push the envelope in security screw cold heading to make the manufacturing process successful. 

We now have security screw capabilities that far exceed any other known manufacturer. 

Our Difference

It was not easy to develop our new fasteners. We were pushed to the brink many a time and humbled. Yet we feel we have developed revolutionary security screw products that rivaled previous inventors and that our efforts make the difference. For example:  

• In the last century less than 10 styles of screws were introduced (example: Square Drive, Phillips®, Torx®,Allen® , Tri-wing®, one way, drilled spanner, etc, ). We have developed million’s of styles.

• Each of the previous inventors used tooling to make one style; our tooling must make millions of styles.

• They had one style of screw driver, we have millions.

• Other inventors could design and forget. We must keep track of over 300 million security screw styles.

• Others could outsource. We do everything ourselves.

• They make big runs, we must make small runs.

• They could take 14 weeks to manufacture; we can only take 6 weeks.

• They could be secure in their patents; we must be very selective in what our patents reveal.  

Through our dedication to high security we developed new tool making, manufacturing, key making, heat treating, and information processes. Research and development took over 7 years and our crew has persevered in making one of the most secure and innovative fasteners ever.

A security leader is a tamper-proof screw manufacturer dedicated to supplying real security. Traditional security fasteners do not supply that security anymore.

The culprit is security bits; they are too easily made and sold. The security solution required a security drive that no renegade tamperproof bit manufacture could compromise. It had to be secure around the world. We have met the security challenge with Key-Rex™ and Keyed-lok®, Penta-plus™, Penta nut™. They work on the principle of an ever-changing shape that has millions of variations. Each security shape must repel all known tamperproof bits plus all other security keys of their kind.
